foster parent // a support for families; provides care for a child during a stressful time
guest // a person whom hospitality is extended;
a person who is invited to visit or stay in someone's home
The goal is always home,
For all of us dwelling on this earth...
And when I fix my eyes on the needs,
and pray past the dismal seeds
of fear and approval and shame...
I see the truth and I will choose to obey,
I will step out and follow His lead,
I will trust in the fullness of His promises,
and what He's called out and spoken to me.
So it's from this place that I excitedly share
that in my heart and in my home, I have prepared a space.
For little guests from the foster system
to be empowered and loved and safe!

In the room where I learned about the child welfare system, neglect + abuse,
meeting you where you are, working as a positive support and team member,
and how to best care for your needs and emotions... truth was written on the wall.
That same truth is framed and hanging in your room.
This will be our anthem.
On the joyful, exciting, so-proud days...
and on the hard, but necessary-for-healing days.
The truth that all things are working together for our good.
The Lord is intentional and His plan is the best,
even when it's hard or scary.
He is our anchor - steady and secure.
He is our hope - eternal and sure.
"'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord.
'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'"
(Jeremiah 29:11)
THIS IS FOR YOU, MY LITTLE GUEST...
REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE VALUED, LOVED,
CHOSEN, WANTED and ADORED.
